Whether chronic or permanent, fatigue affects our quality of life. Here are 10 tips to avoid energy declines.

1- Get enough sleep

We can never say it enough, "sleep is health!" " So how do we stay in shape when our nights are disrupted? If you think you are suffering from one of the 85 sleep disorders that exist , according to the non-profit organization Fondation Sommeil, it may be time to consult a health professional.

In all cases, going to bed at regular times and leaving stress out of bed are the key to quality sleep . And if you are still tired, a 20-minute nap during the day, ideally between noon and 3 p.m., may well perk you up.

2- Exercise

Difficult to find the motivation to move when you are exhausted ... However, sport has the effect of giving us a boost of energy . How? 'Or' What? The neurotransmitters that act on well-being and stress, the endorphins and serotonin are secreted by our body after 30 minutes of sustained effort.

What if we told you that moving also regulates our internal clock and promotes sleep?

3- Eat well

A good breakfast in the morning, a protein lunch at noon and a light supper in the evening; this is how to avoid fatigue throughout the day. And if you have a little nighttime cravings, here are some snacks that will not disturb your night .

Also, certain foods could give you a boost and help maintain your energy level.

4- Anti-fatigue foods

Magnesium, a real natural anti-stress, will help you stay the course during the day. Do not hesitate to chew two or three squares of dark chocolate or a handful of almonds if you feel a weakness invading you.

The vitamin C will, in turn, boost your immune system and give you a boost. It is found in citrus fruits and broccoli, for example, which can be crunched throughout the morning.

The ginseng , this Asian root, acts on the central nervous system in addition to containing vitamins and minerals. It is generally found in ampoules or capsules, at pharmacies or in organic stores.

5- Avoid the exciting

If your reflex is to swallow coffee to wake you up, maybe you should ease off a bit. Indeed, the overconsumption of caffeine and other drinks supposed to bring you energy will cause the opposite effect.

We therefore limit ourselves to two or three cups, or we opt for Guarana, this South American plant with a high concentration of caffeine and multiple virtues. Like coffee, we avoid abusing it, especially after 4 p.m. It is found in powder, capsule or ampoule.

You don't like coffee? A sweet honey tea or tea could help you refocus on yourself and gently stimulate your nervous system.

6- Fill up with light

The lack of light has many consequences on our biological clock. And the more the days get shorter, the more likely we are to get depressed and lack energy. This is without counting on the fact that vitamin D , which has become fashionable thanks to its many benefits, badly needs these rays to exist.

And no need to invest in a light therapy lamp right away, since being exposed to the sun regularly in winter, preferably at noon, should bring you a boost of energy. We can also take the opportunity to go for a walk ten minutes after lunch to digest, fill up with light and get moving!

7- Watch out for overwork

Are you tired from overwork ? Or maybe it is the reverse? Having too much on your shoulders is the start of a vicious cycle that can cause stress and fatigue.

At home, like at work, put everyone to work and don't hesitate to delegate! So you will do less, but you will do it better.

Also, learning to say no will allow you to focus on the basics. It may not be an easy thing, but you will reap many benefits, including the satisfaction of having control over your life.

8- Keep negative emotions away

Whether it's throughout the day or before you go to bed, negative thoughts eat up your energy.

Taking a few minutes for yourself, even if you have it over your head, can only be beneficial for your productivity. And before you abandon yourself in the arms of Morpheus, chase away stress or anything that could hinder your sleep, take stock of what you had good during the day and what you did good. Tell yourself that you will not be able to settle anything at this time and that you will see more clearly after a good night's sleep ... And ready to start the day on the right foot!

9- Relax

Taking time for yourself is also refocusing on the essential : you. Isolate yourself from time to time to take deep breaths with your eyes closed. If you are into meditation or yoga, opt for a five-minute flash session.

At home, immerse yourself in a hot bath to which you will have added a good dose of Epsom salt, filled with magnesium and sulfate, available in all pharmacies.

And why not add a few drops of essential oils of sage, peppermint or lemon, known for their energizing properties?

10- Take concrete actions (and easy!)

If you need an instant dose of energy, pour a few drops of peppermint essential oil on a tissue, and breathe! You will immediately find renewed attention and your feeling of tiredness will be quickly reduced.

Finally, here is another natural remedy to integrate into your routine in the event of intense fatigue: vigorously brush the palms of the hands using a nail brush. The adrenaline felt will then diffuse into your body and wake you up for sure!
